A Surreal Affair In Light And Shadow – The Transformative Power of CHANEL
Once again, the Grand Palais served as the iconic venue for Paris’s Haute Couture week, where the grandeur of CHANEL radiates. This show was not merely a runway, but a celebration of history, innovation, and the everlasting transformation that defines the Maison.

The Spring-Summer 2025 Haute Couture show marks a significant milestone: 110 years of Haute Couture. If there is one thing that distinguishes CHANEL, it is its ability to reinvent itself—a quality that has remained constant since the days of the legendary Coco Chanel and the era of the unmistakable Karl Lagerfeld to the present, under the creative direction of the CHANEL studio. The Maison has always embraced limitless creative freedom, a unique savoir-faire passed down through generations, gestures that are repeated yet renewed, patience, excellence, and above all, a timeless elegance that is continually reinterpreted yet remains instantly recognisable.

One of CHANEL’s defining hallmarks is its ability to transform without losing its essence. This is evident not only in the garments but also in the scenography of the show. Upon entering the Grand Palais, one never knows what to expect; however, it is certain that nothing is random; everything has a purpose and makes sense upon reflection. In the centre of the space, two bridges shaped like the CC logo—a clear reference to the brand’s iconic emblem—intertwine with one another. Viewed from a bird’s-eye perspective, they form the symbol of infinity, further representing the limitless transformative power that defines CHANEL.
