In France, the term describing the elaborate craft of dressmaking, haute couture, is legally protected by the Chambre de commerce et d’industrie de Paris. 

Dating back to the 19th century, the craft of haute couture was born in Paris.

Today, haute couture is still what brings fashion aficionados and connoisseurs from all across the globe to Paris, as haute couture week takes place in the City of Lights biannually.

Paris being an inherent protagonist in the history of haute couture, capturing the industry’s darling Camille Opp in an extravaganza of Chanel haute couture to the backdrop of the French capital, came natural to the virtuoso of photography, Jvdas Berra.
