Let’s Relive Celine Dion’s Performance at the Olympics in the Spirit of Dior
Paris, France – The 2024 Paris Olympics, originally known as one of the most important sporting events in the world, have taken on an additional role this year, emerging as one of the most significant global fashion events in recent memory. With LVMH as the primary sponsor, the event has been infused with a vibrant blend of sports and style, reaching record highs in social media impressions and media coverage. Besides the generous sponsorship and providing the case for the Olympic medals, LVMH has hosted various events featuring athletes and celebrities wearing their brands, making a lasting impact.
Dior, in particular, has taken centre stage by heralding these “fashion games,” dressing some of the most anticipated acts of the opening ceremony, including Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, and Aya Nakamura. Nearly 29 million people have viewed their performances and received widespread social media acclaim. Each performance had its unique moment, evoking different emotions and captivating not just their existing fan bases but those engaging in the spectacle and sports fans.

Most of the 29 million viewers watched the performances on screen, while those in the stadium only caught glimpses of the performers from a distance. This meant that while the general audience could appreciate how Dior’s garments moved during the performances, they couldn’t see the intricate craftsmanship behind each piece. As of the end of July, the public can immerse themselves in the spirit of Dior at the Olympics! The latest exhibition showcases the dresses worn to open the 2024 Olympic Games in their “Galerie Dior” at Avenue Montaigne in Paris. Personally, this author is excited to see the garments which were worn by some of the most talented women from the music business during such globally memorable performances.
Finally, the Olympics concluded with yet another Dior moment, featuring Yseult during the closing ceremony. While it hasn’t been confirmed whether her dress will also be exhibited, there’s hope that the public will experience the full Dior 2024 Olympics chapter. Having been able to participate in such an essential role during this sports event helped Dior as a brand and LVMH, the owner company, reach a full new target, with record high numbers of impressions. The 2024 Paris Olympics have not only celebrated sports but also showcased fashion on a global stage, offering a truly all-encompassing experience.
