A Watch That Dares to Stand Out

TUDOR has always been a brand that embraces boldness, innovation, and the unexpected. With The Black Bay Chrono Flamingo Blue, the Swiss watchmaker challenges convention again. It introduces a striking new dial colour that evokes the vibrancy of South Beach while remaining deeply rooted in its horological heritage. More than just a new shade, Flamingo Blue is a statement that refuses to blend in.

Why is the watch named Flamingo Blue when Flamingos are pink? The TUDOR inspiration is that the Flamingo’s habitat is turquoise tropical lagoons, so the name blends the colour of the habitat with the animal. This is a memorable falsehood name the watch collector will never forget.

A Fusion of Two Worlds

The Black Bay Chrono embodies the perfect marriage of dive-watch durability and motorsport precision. Since its first chronograph, the Oysterdate of 1970, TUDOR has built a legacy in motorsport, crafting timepieces designed for speed and performance. At the same time, the brand has been perfecting its professional dive watches since 1954. The Black Bay Chrono is the ultimate hybrid, seamlessly combining the spirit of the track with the resilience of the sea.

A Design That Commands Attention

The Flamingo Blue domed dial, contrasted by two black sub-counters, is eye-catching and highly functional. A 45-minute counter and a date aperture at 6 o’clock complete the dial layout, paying homage to the brand’s early chronographs.

The 41mm stainless steel case combines satin-brushed and polished finishes with meticulously designed beveled lugs and a TUDOR rose-signed crown. The stainless steel pushers draw inspiration from the first generation of TUDOR chronographs. At the same time, the fixed bezel with a tachymeter scale in black anodised aluminum enhances the aesthetics and performance. The five-link jubilee bracelet with T-Fit clasp ensures a secure and comfortable fit, reinforcing TUDOR’s commitment to craftsmanship.

The Power Behind the Dial

At the heart of the Black Bay Chrono Flamingo Blue lies the Chronograph Calibre MT5813 – a powerhouse of precision and reliability. Featuring a column wheel and vertical clutch, this automatic movement exemplifies traditional Swiss watchmaking. With a 70-hour power reserve, a silicon balance spring, and COSC certification, the MT5813 exceeds industry standards, maintaining accuracy within -2/+4 seconds daily. This high-performance movement is the result of TUDOR’s collaboration with Breitling, merging expertise from both brands to achieve excellence.

A Legacy of Innovation

TUDOR’s history showcases a bold approach to watchmaking. Whether on the racetrack or the open sea, this chronograph is designed for those who defy expectations and embrace adventure.

Since its origins in 1926, TUDOR has embodied Rolex-quality craftsmanship at a more accessible price. With its state-of-the-art Manufacture in Le Locle, completed in 2021, TUDOR continues to lead in horological excellence. Every TUDOR watch, including the Black Bay Chrono, undergoes rigorous testing to ensure unmatched durability, precision, and performance.

Born to Dare

In 2017, TUDOR launched the Born to Dare campaign, showcasing the brand’s pioneering spirit. From icy extremes to ocean depths, TUDOR watches have accompanied some of the boldest explorers. The Black Bay Chrono Flamingo Blue embodies this ethos – an unconventional, vibrant chronograph designed for those who refuse to conform.

With a five-year guarantee, a rich legacy of craftsmanship, and a bold new dial that redefines expectations, the Black Bay Chrono Flamingo Blue is more than just a watch – it is a statement of individuality.
