Chopard jewels the Red Carpet in “Miracles” at the 79 th Cannes Firl Festival

May 12 marked the opening of the 79th Cannes Film Festival. The Opening Night film was La Vénus Électrique, directed by Pierre Salvadori. The film is an elegant mix of drama and comedy that leaves a delicate impression — a blend of love, hope, and a touch of nostalgia.

Demi Moore, one of this year’s Jury members, appeared on the red carpet of the Opening Ceremony wearing a stunning Chopard necklace and a pair of earrings.

The year 2026 marks the 28th year of Chopard as an Official Partner of the Cannes Film Festival. In 1997, Caroline Scheufele — Co-President and Artistic Director of Chopard — reimagined the legendary Palme d’Or: a heart-shaped stem with 19 leaves in ethical yellow gold, set on an emerald-cut rock crystal base.

Since then, Chopard’s artisans have held the exclusive honour of crafting every official trophy awarded at the Festival’s Closing ceremony.

Beyond honouring established icons, Chopard also champions emerging talent through the Trophée Chopard. At an official Festival dinner held on 15 May on Carlton Beach, the 26th edition of this prestigious award was presented to two rising stars, Odessa A’zion and Connor Swindells.

Every year, Chopard celebrates a constant dialogue between cinema and exceptional craftsmanship on the Croisette — a tribute to creators, emotion, and the art of storytelling.

The Festival offers an exceptional setting in which to unveil the Red Carpet Collection, a celebration of the unparalleled savoir-faire of the Maison’s Haute Joaillerie ateliers. Presented annually in a number corresponding to the edition of the Festival, the 2026 collection comprises 79 exceptional creations.

The theme of this year’s Red Carpet Collection is “Miracles”. Caroline Scheufele drew inspiration from the wonders of life, its mysteries, and those extraordinary moments that invite us to look at the world differently.

“Miracles are often modest: they are born of a detail, a light, an unexpected emotion. This collection is an invitation to look at them differently”. – Caroline Scheufele.

Miracles surround us in daily life; the magic lies in our capacity to notice and celebrate them. They may appear in the form of a beautiful cloud whose silhouette evokes a memory, the delicate blooming of a flower with an unexpected colour, the grace of an animal captured in a moment of pure spontaneity, or the beauty of a gemstone formed deep within the Earth. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, indeed, and the Chopard Red Carpet Collection 2026 is a beautiful reminder of that.

Through “Miracles”, the Maison explores a visual poetry shaped by nature — its marvels and mysteries, its precious stones and their luminous colours.

The Red Carpet Collection 2026 is distinguished by its airy volumes, sky-borne hues shaped by shifting light, and a poetic dialogue between nature and craftsmanship.

One of the highlights of the collection is a necklace inspired by the poetic encounter between Earth and sky, crafted in ethical white gold and centered on a majestic 88-carat Royal Blue sapphire — a profound expression of the Earth’s mysteries.

Around this mineral heart, fluid rows of sapphires and aquamarines unfold in luminous cascades, a celestial ardour punctuated by flashes of diamonds.

A choker necklace in 18-carat ethical white gold is set with emerald-cut emeralds totalling over 87 carats and further adorned with brilliant-, oval-, and pear-shaped diamonds totalling over 40 carats. It is beautifully paired with a cuff bracelet in 18-carat ethical white gold set with a 50.99-carat vivid green emerald cabochon from Colombia, alongside marquise-cut, round-shaped, and pear-shaped diamonds; as well as a second cuff bracelet in 18-carat ethical white gold set with a 50.45-carat vivid green emerald cabochon from Colombia, complemented by marquise-cut, pear-shaped, and brilliant-cut pastel sapphires totalling 91.65 carats, alongside brilliant-cut emeralds and diamonds.

A phoenix-shaped brooch celebrates the miracle of rebirth: its flamboyant plumage in ethical rose gold and titanium intertwines emeralds with multicoloured sapphires in a vibrant whirlwind, captured mid-flight.

In Cannes, the creations of this collection become talismans, reminding us that the beauty of the world sometimes depends solely on the way we choose to look at it.

For the duration of the Festival, the Maison welcomes its guests to the famed Chopard Rooftop, perched on the 7th floor of the Hôtel Martinez.
