Maserati on the clay courts of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters
Maserati unveils two creations from its Fuoriserie programme: the GranCabrio features a fully customised soft top and the MCPURA Cielo featured in the sophisticated Ai Aqua Rainbow shade, a special color developed by Maserati Fuoriserie.
For the fifth consecutive year, Maserati returns to the spotlight at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, one of the most iconic events on the international tennis calendar, taking place from 4 to 12 April on the clay courts of the Monte-Carlo Country Club. This year Maserati is as well the Official Car of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, accompanying athletes and guests with an incredible fleet of vehicles that, including the sophisticated Grecale SUV.
Maserati’s presence at the tournament is part of the broader Year of the Trident – a programme marking the centenary of the brand’s symbol – and sets the stage for the world premiere of two Fuoriserie creations. At the core of the BOTTEGAFUORISERIE project is a simple idea: to turn each car into an individual expression.
The GranCabrio takes centre stage with a first in the brand’s history – a fully customised soft top, developed through the Fuoriserie programme. Crafted in an intense Maserati blue, it combines weaving and embroidery techniques, translating the Trident into a double interpretation. White and lime accents reference the visual codes of tennis, while the Maserati signature on the C-pillar completes the composition.
This development extends Fuoriserie beyond surfaces, introducing soft-top configurations as part of the design process – from colour to detailing, to fully bespoke solutions. The car is presented in the Commercial Village, finished in Verde Royale with ICE interiors.
Alongside it, the MCPURA Cielo is shown in Ai Aqua Rainbow – an iridescent light blue developed by Maserati Fuoriserie. In sunlight, the finish shifts through prism-like reflections, creating a precise yet dynamic effect. Inside, Ice Alcantara seats are laser-etched with the Trident. The car is displayed in the VIP Village.
Both cars reflect a central element of Maserati’s design approach – the balance between Italian luxury and open-air driving, imagined along the curves of the Three Corniches.
For the occasion, the cars are paired with dedicated Fuoriserie covers. Their design references the clay courts of Monte-Carlo, with graphic elements tracing the silhouettes of the cars and colour accents drawn from the world of tennis. These pieces form part of a package reserved for clients during the tournament.
Within the Maserati space at the Monte-Carlo Country Club, a dedicated Fuoriserie configuration area brings together digital and physical elements. The programme unfolds across the Corse, Unica and Futura collections, covering body colours, materials and finishing details. Each project develops individually – placing the client within the design process.
In front of the Fairmont Monte Carlo, the MCXtrema is also on display, expressing the brand’s racing dimension. Its livery marks the 20th anniversary of the MC12’s first victory at the 24 Hours of Spa, repeated in 2006 and 2008.
