Shape Of Man

This story captures a visual and emotional return to one’s roots, a modern reinterpretation of Romanian identity, told through the duality of structure and softness, city and memory, masculinity and femininity. The first part, set in the raw streets of Bucharest, showcases oversized, tailored silhouettes with masculine energy: broad shoulders, heavy coats, and minimal styling. The aesthetic speaks to discipline, power, and solitude, drawing from the city’s brutalist echoes and postSoviet spirit. This rigid uniformity becomes a metaphor for strength, survival, and belonging. The second part shifts to an introspective space: flowing fabrics, pleats and crystal accents reference traditional Romanian attire reimagined in a feminine, almost ethereal light. These looks soften the visual language with volume, movement, and vulnerability, suggesting a return not only to heritage, but to emotion, intuition, and the forgotten feminine. Together, the two worlds form a dialogue: between masculine and feminine, hardness and fragility, past and present. “Homebound” becomes a portrait of homecoming, not as nostalgia, but as redefinition.
