Taylor Hill – Crafting a Contemporary Fashion Icon

Taylor Hill’s illustrious journey in the fashion world began at the tender age of 14 when she was discovered in 2011 by the talent agent Jim Jordan at a ranch in Granby, Colorado, where Hill and her family rode horses. With her captivating looks and innate talent, Hill quickly ascended to fame. She signed with IMG Worldwide, one of the industry’s most prestigious agencies, and started her modelling career on Intimissimi Catalog in 2013. In 2014, she walked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway for the first time. She was the youngest model at 18 years to grace the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, heralding the arrival of a new fashion icon.

Hill’s swift rise to prominence and her years of appearing at Victoria’s Secret annual fashion show solidified her status as a top-tier model. It deepened her understanding of the fashion industry. Her experience as a VS Angel was transformative, fostering a lasting appreciation for beauty and authenticity. The global exposure and diverse professional insights she gained empowered her as a young woman in the industry. Early exposure to the demands and opportunities of modelling profoundly shaped her personal and professional growth.

In 2016 she was in the film The Neon Demon and was no.17 on Forbes “The World’s Top- Earning Models” list between 2015 and 2016 with estimated earnings of USD 4 million. Hill adeptly seized every opportunity as her career progressed, becoming a globally recognised model and a prominent “it girl” on social media. As of December 2023, she had 24 million Instagram followers. Her unique beauty, personality and keen sense of fashion propelled her to icon status at just 28 years old.

Beginning my career so young and becoming a Victoria’s Secret Angel was certainly transformative. Victoria’s Secret encouraged us to embrace our beauty and authenticity, inspiring others and making us role models. Working with girls from around the world provided invaluable experiences, empowering me as a woman. This journey shaped my career and personal growth profoundly.

My first Victoria’s Secret show in 2014 is particularly dear to me. Walking in the University Pink segment with Ariana Grande performing was unforgettable. Securing my place at just 18 was exhilarating and marked the beginning of an incredible journey.

Each city has uniquely influenced my career. Milan is glamorous and bold, New York is fast-paced and innovative, and Paris blends tradition with modernity. Paris holds a special place in my heart professionally, its dedication to the craft of fashion and blend of tradition and modernity always inspire me.

What’s next in your career?

I’m focusing on both my modelling career and my new venture, Tate & Taylor, an online marketplace for pets in memory of my late dog, Tate. It combines my love for animals with my entrepreneurial spirit. I aim to see both areas thrive, blending my passions in a fulfilling and impactful way.
