Rewriting the self
“Rewriting the Self” is a digital editorial inspired by The Great, focusing on Catherine the Great and Emperor Peter. It reflects on the moment after Peter loses power and redefines himself through an eclectic, softer style that blends traditionally masculine and feminine elements. This image becomes a meditation on a man at peace beyond authority, embracing his feminine side and discovering a new dimension of identity. Set symbolically within Mount Etna as a metaphysical space, the project suggests a place where one can rewrite the self and begin a new chapter.
